I've taught at Harvard, Stanford, Yale, civil rights nonprofits, Fortune 100 companies, public defender’s offices, large law firms, and high schools.

I run Mindfulness for Lawyers, which offers mindfulness programs for lawyers and legal professionals, and Sit-Heads Meditation Club, a sitting and social group for people interested in deep meditation practice.

I'm also happy to answer meditation questions. No charge. My teachers were generous with their time and advice; I'm just paying it forward. Drop me a line using the button below.

My Background

I went to school at Brown University and Harvard Law School. After law school, I clerked on a federal appeals court and worked as a litigator at public-interest law firms in Los Angeles and New York City.

I've meditated since 2006 and studied with teachers from around the world, including psychologists, neuroscientists, and traditional Buddhist masters. In 2014, I completed a seven-month, silent retreat. These days, I try to do about eight weeks of silent retreat per year.

I founded Mindfulness for Lawyers in 2015. It's now my full-time job, though I still practice law on a pro bono basis.

I live in New York City, where my meditation practice keeps me from going nuts (more or less).
